Hello guys!!!!!!
I have few buff cochins but the temperature in summer increase till 122F. Can i trim feathers from blow side of my chicken, it can harm for chickens or not????

I would not trim feathers. They would help to protect from the sun, and chickens will peck and injured each other’s bare skin. Instead, I would provide as much shade as possible in open air, and have many water bowls available. Fruits and vegetables, such as melons and cucumbers will help to keep them hydrated as well.

My chickens love to stand in a low wide pan of water to cool their legs, so I provide about few of those. It must be very difficult during that kind of heat.
