Investigating Trophy Points - I've completed the achievement but I'm not being awarded???

@casportpony I recently accomplished the reactions given 5,000 but I was never awarded for it. I'm just curious as to why I wasn't. Also, for another achievement on rating articles, I've rated some but still was never rewarded. I thought I should ask you. Thanks!

Oddly I never got a 5k given reward. Mine skips from 4k to 6k. Not particularly concerned about it, but just providing a data point for admins.

You just hit your icon for your profile and it shows you your points and you can hit how many points you currently have, then scroll down to see all the achievements.

What difference does it make? To me, they're pointless.
