Trouble hatching one breed

We recently incubated a clutch of eggs and all went well except the three Columbian Wyandottes. The first pipped but made it no further. The second got about a nickel-sized hole and stopped fighting. I peeled back enough shell and membrane that it finally freed itself after several hours but died a couple days later. It was weak, lethargic and never really came around. The third died without even cracking the shell, though it had been active enough to roll the egg around.

I find it hard to believe it was any temp or humidity issue since all the other eggs hatched without problem (barred rock, maran and olive egger). Is there something special about Wyandottes I didn't know? It seemed like the shells were either much harder or the chicks much weaker than others. Has anyone seen this before with a single breed? Sorry if that seems stupid and impossible, just thought I would ask. Thank you.
