We have one too.... I don't remember why he didn't start it maybe he didn't feel like it - although that's really unlikely :/ maybe we were out of fuel

Yeah, kinda like the other night:

--Pouring rain outside--
Me- I need to do the dishes, close up the chickens and go to bed.
Dad- I'll get the chickens, just do the dishes, its pouring and I'm already in wet stuff.
Me- OK, thanks-

--20 minutes later--
Me- Hey dad, the chicke s are closed up, right.
Dad- Ummm. (He is lying in bed in his skivvies)
Me- IF I HAD FOUND DEAD CHICKENS IN THE MORNING I NEVER WOULD HAVE FORGIVEN YOU!!

But yes, exactly. Although dads usually (okay almost always) good about taking care of the chickens if he says he will.
Its mom that I have to double check...
