I've decided that none of the D'uccles are going to hatch.

Really really really disappointing.

The chickens are barely laying anything due to pox, molting and bad weather so I can't hatch their eggs either. Just not enough.

So I'm going to try to get duck eggs soon and hatch em. I really hope mom doesn't change her mind or decide I can't or something.

Have you hatched Muscovies before?

I don't know if I've ever gone this long without hatching before, or at least not within the last few years. I don't like it!

I haven't had a chick hatch for 8 weeks.

Yeah, definitely not fun! I lost a chick to wet pox the other day. Yesterday a pullet got attacked by a stray dog; I think she'll pull through as long as flies and infection stay away. And another pullet might or might not lose an eye to pox. She's doing ok though.

I might have exaggerated a little. But this feels like forever! lol
