I was pretty sure it was a boy, I mean, giant legs, red comb and all the others are nearly completely feathered and this one barely has a tail. The three lorps look like that too.

Here is one chick picture, I need to go though, so I can not upload a million pictures.

Those five hatched last night. The incubators are in my bedroom, but I sleep on top of a triple bunk, so I ended up on the ground to be right next to my babies. My sister wakes up this morning and goes, ''Of course you couldn't stay in bed last night, they can be 5 feet away from you but you just have to be next to them. Geek''

That's hilarious! I used to sleep on top of a triple too.

I am GLUED to the incubator when chicks are hatching, to the point of setting a timer so I have to wait five minutes to check again. In those five minutes I watch the timer.

now I have 38 chickens! most I've ever had!

Sweet!!! I wanna breed EEs so bad!!

Gaaaaaaaaaaargh I just picked up Hannah and a bunch of mites crawled onto my arms! I've never had a single mite infestation before and now she seems to be the only one!!!! What can I do, being the chicks are due to hatch in like 3 days? I just cleaned out the nest bedding, dusted with DE, but now I have the matter of Hannah to deal with. The most mites are around her tail....

sounds like what happened when Sugar died. All the many mites she had on her were like, "EVACUTE EVACUATE!!!" and I was holding her for like four hours so they ended up all over me
Funny thing is there was a minor lice outbreak at church. Me and sis would tease our friends about "the only parasite we'll ever have is chicken mites!" the reactions I get are hilarious

×2 on the cockerel.
I use ground marigold for wounds. Battles infection wonderfully and definitely keeps parasites away.
Warriors peeps, it actually works!
I use ash in the dust baths. I don't know why I totally forgot it works for mites.
