So, we have 90 eight week old FR broilers. Fully feathered, pushing 4 pounds apeice, yada yada. It has been very damp, and fairly rainy all week, and they have not had a heat lamp, and my parents have not known, nor did I think they cared. I am the main caretaker of them, so it is technically my responsibility, I just didn't feel like they needed a heat lamp. My dad informs me at nine p.m. that I will be paying him for all dead chickens in the morning, plus his beer that I had dumped out earlier in the day (long story). Despite the fact I know they don't need heat, and that they aren't even chickens he has funded. Just to spite him I stormed out into the rain to give the birds their stupid heat lamps. Well, I had a hard time finding extension cords, and they were too short, and my mom came out and helped me. In the pouring rain. At this point 10:00. Pitch black. I got inside and my mom had made me a cup of tea and given me two of her ''kids not allowed'' chocolate that we never get. I took a warm shower, and now I'm curled up in bed. I don't know exactly why I just wrote that. To rant on my dad and brag on my mom, to let steam out, whatever. Lol
Zelda, your horse is beautiful, you are super lucky! My mom thinks horses don't serve a purpose and there for we don't have one, so I'm super jealous you have three.
Dan, that is a rooster, I'd bet money on it. How many SS do you have? I've got four hens and one rooster.
