I had a dream last night were a pack of yotes attacked my flock, and got my Speckled Sussex, Peebles, so I grabbed my gun and bagged 10 of them!

What breeds do you have/recommend? I really like the looks of Cayugas, and I would love Blue Swedish, Runners are cool too. Do you suggest mixing and matching beds or getting all one breed so I could breed purebred ducks? Will drakes mate with chickens, and roosters mate south ducks?

I would miss home too. I do bet you get to see some cool places though. Lol, I didn't know if ypou were, because you always sound so responsible. We are rattling on about random crazy stuff, and here comes Dan,posting pictures of a chicken coop he is building and,making me feel very lazy compared to him.

But anywhoo, since I totally spoaced telling you guys this morning, Parakeet didn't really take to the babies.... Or !maybe it was the other way around :/ Missy (the jerkiest chick I have ever seen) kept grabbing Parakeet's wattles and eyeLIDS, and when Mama stood up to get away, she would just hang there. BY HER EYELIDS!!!!
So yeah, as you can imagine it kinda ticked off Broody, and so we freed her from the bonds of chick raising :/ so now we have 6 baby chicks to raise. Yay

I've had a runner before, and wasn't too cuddly, but I sure did love his stance. I didn't realize drakes hurt chickens. I knew their.....reproductive organs were shaped differently, but I didn't know it was bad for a chicken..

Zelda. One does not call a chick a baby chick. The word chick IS baby, it is like calling a human baby a baby baby. The chick already has baby in its name, you don't call it that twice! Sorry, it is a pet peeve of mine

I realized....I'm going to need to cut back on late night BYCing in June and July, that's swim team season, and I have to get up at 6 for meets.

Busy day! I have to go to town tomorrow, and then swim practice, but I'm doing day 14 candle on my ORP eggs an Jyn when we get home!

Okay, Zelda, you officially have a chaotic life.
It takes me exactly 29 minutes on a good day to get every single animal/inside/cooking/life chore done each morning- IF I'm on turbo.
Not-so-turbo= Eh, 35-38 minutes.
