Nope! He already knows sit and lay down! And my moms working on fetch, he's got the fetching part down, it's the fact he wants to keep the toy we're working on, XD!

Good job!! Lol, I think all dogs are like that. :lau

I have six visible pips and several rockers.

:woot YAY!

I helped a friend start 5-week old pups.... By the time they left for new homes they knew all basics... Sit, lay down, stay, come, etc.

It actually is better to start young like all you did when you first get them.... Just Never get a abused, scared, nipping 5-month old dog... 2-yeaes of training and we are still working on things... He also has to be trained everyday so he stays in a good mood and keeps him occupied. Not an easy dog!

Bob knew most of that, when we got him what we really worked on was his name and come as well as some tricks like shake and such, by the time he was 6 months old he knew just about every trick you can find on the internet as well as some three to four piece ones we made up.

He sounds like Bob, he's going on four (oh my gosh he's grown so fast! Where did time go?!? :hit ) and he still needs day to day training. But the result you get is well well worth it. A dog who knows how much force is needed to move hogs (400+ lb hogs and he's only 63lbs) but is gentle enough to pick up a week old rabbit without so much a pulling a hair out.

When we went to pick Bob out at three weeks. He was so tiny.

Here he is shortly after we got him, he's about two month old in this pic. He still makes this face.

And of course I couldn't leave Rex out, I don't know how old he was in this pic as he was four months when we got him so this is way before that when he was at the breeders.
