So I have a couple volunteer squash vines. Last years looked like this first pic only those were more orange.
Volunteer one.

I'm pretty sure though that this one crossed with one of my yellow summer squash that I also grew last year. The vine is semi vining, so half way between the vining one I had last year and the bush summer squash, that and the shape and color of the fruit makes me think it's a cross.

Mig has started nesting. She's collected all the leaf litter that was on the ground and piled that into her hut along with any sticks she could get ahold of, she even up rooted a small (dead) tree and was breaking that up into pieces she can put in the hut.
