To explain that outburst. My broody hen, Buffy Jr., Abandoned her chicks. Two are missing. She doesn't lead them to the coop anymore...

So sorry to hear that.

I have a similar problem, I know the mother sets them free at some point... But I think it's early. She pushed them from the nest and doesn't watch them anymore. They aren't even fully grown, they are too young for me to tell their genders let alone them being set free.
