Troyergals Chat Thread!!!

@TamingMaster from what you describe, food possession, biting, etc; sounds like he wasn't in an abusive home at all but just he has pushed away from being part of the family... Such as, locked in the kennel, left outside a lot, etc... Which now that he has it better he is worried it may all be taken away.

Good job tho catching it early.
I agree. Nino has food possession, and in his last home he was abandoned in a backyard for 3 months.

Same here. @-@

Okay, so, Toby is a really good dog, but he has some bad behaviour. He's possessive over food, to the point of biting and snarling, and he'll bite if anyone checks his skin problems.
I've been working with him these past two/three days, and today I'm really proud because he's showing so much improvement. He's letting me put his hands in his food bowl and letting me touch him whilst he eats, I can check all of his skin problems without even a snarl, and now he can use our dog flap! I'm just so proud of him. :3

XD

Because I have two dogs? XD

Yes that’s exactly why

That's what I was thinking to! :p
He's a bit spacey and seems to prefer being outside sometimes too, so I'm pretty sure he was kept in a kennel outside (my dad said he saw a kennel at the previous owners home). And I think he was kept with another dog (pittie) that took his food (he was severely underweight), so that probably didn't help the food possession at all. :/
The abusive side would've been from his skin problems (very common with poodles). The family that had him probably pinned him down to rub (human) steriod cream in his ears and on his stomach.

Hopefully he'll quickly realise that we're different, and that he can be as weird and wonderful as he wants (like the rest of my pets  ). XD
He's already making progress, so it's a good sign! :3
