The person who sold me this chick told me it was an Ameruacana. I've read on here that there are few true Ameruacanas. Now that the colors are showing beautifully, I can't seem to find a similar color pattern. I was told it was splash, but that doesn't seem accurate.
Question 1) True Ameruacana?
Question 2) What color would this be?

Question 3) since this is the place to ask, pullet or roo?

My apologies for the photos. Cell phone camera at dusk...didn't come out as well as I would have liked.

He isn't one of the 8 recognized true Ameracauna colors, splash isn't recognized. http://www.ameraucana.org/scrapbook.html these are the different colors true Ameracaunas can come in :)
That's an EE roo. The comb is very wide and developed and the coloration is that of a male. Male EEs have a patchy looking pattern and that brown-red color on the shoulder/wing area indicates male.

He is a splash wheaten, he could be a pure Ameraucana, but his comb does look a little large, how old is he. Better photos would help.

So he started crowing. I took him back to the breeder (because I can't keep cockerels) and he is splash wheaten.
I ended up replacing him with a two year old splash wheaten hen that another local person had originally gotten from him as a chick. She is also stunning but lays green. So from what I understand, they are EEs. 1. Splash wheaton is not a true ameraucana color 2. true ameraucanas lay blue.

Still a great bird for a backyard flock. Sweet as pie and very pretty.

You are correct - a green egg indicates easter egger. I think, from the pics, your guy has green legs also. Maybe not, since the pics are dusky, but it seems like it. Another indication of EE.

eta: Green eggs are cool. I'm trying my hardest to breed an olive egger but keep ending up with cockerels. lol!
