True Blue Whiting info please?

That's my main complaint with allowing a hen to hatch her own eggs. Every OTHER hen wants to use the SAME nest!!!!

I just put 10 eggs into the incubator. Assume since hen is white with red chest and Rooster is white with black specks that I will get all white... hopefully they lay blue eggs.

Probably won't happen. The focus of Dr. Whiting was egg color. The breed isn't defined (yet) as to color. No telling what will pop out. Keep us posted though, I'm very curious

The University of Arkansas blues are based on Dr. Whitings blue egg layers. They breed true as Blue, black, splash. There are not very many of the around though.

You can work with them to get them into a BBS(blue, black splash) breed.

These are from my mcmurray stock. Sometimes I get all blue, sometimes blue-green. Is this normal ?
