Try #2

They are duck eggs, which develop a bit slower. There is a bit of an orange glow to them which gives me hope. OP will know within an other 5 days whether there is life there, or not. I often candle chicken eggs on day 3. Can't really see much, but often the live eggs show that glow if the lighting is good.

Duck eggs are also much clearer to see development. I can tell day 3-4 days with my duck eggs.

This is a duck egg on day 5. Of course candlers and egg shells vary, so I wouldn't give up hope yet either.

Awesome pic, WV. Especially for day 5!

Thanks. After looking back at my notes, that egg did come from a nest, so she may have jump started it a little. :hide
But there definitely was no development when I put them in the incubator.

I didn’t mean to douse the hopes of the OP by any means. I have also had duck eggs that seem to hide the development, so I never remove any before day 7-10.

These are on the first day in my hand. They were laid Sunday and shipped to me Monday, so I would say maybe day two or three if I was lucky and they did get heat during shipping.

So day 5 is Saturday the one that cracked I did break open and looked at it had the signs of fertile eggs and growth.

The non shipped ones are on day five but they have off colored shells because they are cross breeds, wasn’t sure if that was making it hard to see developing in the eggs.
