A friend wants me to raise them 30 meat birds so I looked around for reasonably priced chicks with availability asap and decided to go with Hoover's. I ordered 30 red rangers 20 rainbows and 25 isa browns. So far I've been impressed with their service, I messaged them both by Facebook and through their contact link on their website and both were answered on Sunday, they answered my questions about availability and assured me my order could ship right away this week.

My local Runnings only orders from Hoovers. I have several chicks from them. Healthy and no issues!

We are planning on ordering some Cornish X in July . . .

Got my chicks today, 2 dead on arrival out of 75, not too bad I guess, though they sent exactly 75 which I figured is kind of cheap, with an order that size I expected at least a couple extra. Shipping was fast and service has been good so far. They don't seem to update the order status on their web page nor did they send a shipping confirmation but they answered right away when I messaged them to ask if my order shipped. I will likely do business with them again

My batch of hoovers cornish x are pretty good birds. 2 wks old now. Lost 8 the first week but other than that im happy. I used cackle, and meyer also this year. Hoovers is the Ross Strain and cackle has the Cobb. I think i like the Ross better! Good luck!

I have reevaluated my stance on this hatchery, I won't be giving them any more business, after the 2 DOA chicks I lost 7 more in the first 2 days, I have never had a chick die ever, from a hatchery or my own hatch, I contacted them twice about the dead chicks and got no response. It seems once they have your money their customer service stops.

I stopped by my local feed store today (they only order from Hoover's). I noticed that a LOT of the chicks had pasty butt, whereas earlier in the year I hardly noticed any in their bins. They just got their bird shipment in yesterday, too.
