Trying not to laugh at him!

But it is just so stinkin' cute and funny! I have four 2-month-old serama chicks in a brooder in my room, 3 hens and 1 little roo. He is so full of himself already, he struts around the pen and grooms his ladies (those are your sisters, you little dork!).

Anyway, this morning after I made coffee I went back and laid on my bed and watched them for a few minutes. I could hear the roosters having a crowing contest outside, and so could little roo. The little fart flapped his wings, shook and fluffed, stretched that adorable little neck out, and said "ERR!" He looked so proud of himself and I tried my best not to laugh at his little sqwak ... um ... I mean crow, ROFL

He tried several times. Each time he would cock his head, listening to the big boys outside, then he'd fluff up, stretch his neck, and "ERR!"

Nothing more than a little sqwak. It is so cute and so funny to watch him and listen to his baby crow attempts! His daddy has a big, full, beautiful crow ... almost sounds like a big chicken ... but I'll bet this little guy will be a squeaker

One of my favorite parts of raising a roo- learning to crow! DH and I sit and have tears from laughing so hard- Not where the little guy can see us, of course!

Oh, go ahead and laugh at him!!! We laugh at our big ol Black Orp roo all the time because his crow is so weird! You should post pics so we can get a visual of your little man!!!!

I wish I could get pics of him crowing, but I doubt that will happen.

Their brooder is next to my desk and they can see my computer screen just well enough that as I type (I am studying) they go crazy watching the movement of the letters across the screen. They are so weird. Sometimes, I'll suddenly realize that it is way too quiet in here and I'll look over at them and all 4 are packed in the corner staring at me ... creepy, lol

I don't know what I did for entertainment before I had chickens ... really, I don't. I love my chickies
