Sorry for your past hardships. Glad things are getting better for you. I think your place is really great. And the cats are looking pretty snug and happy.

sometimes down sizing is a good thing with the econamy the way it is and as long as you like it and keep your head up i'm sure you will get to the place yall really want to be. may take a while but you have more than some people and you should be very proud of it. im in a very hard spot right now having trouble finding a job with 3 kids to support and tryng to find a place for us (that i can afford) isnt easy eaither. i just keep my head and keep tryng my hardest and praying that things will get better, which they will in time.

I think this is a very nice home. Never forget that bricks and mortar and furniture do not make the home! It is the love and care that abides there. I have been in show palaces that were impersonal and unfriendly. Conversely, i have been in homes furnished with second hand furniture, curtains from charity shops etc, that have been wonderful homes. Good luck to you in your new home, you are right, always look forward in life.

Your new place is lovely. I've lived in a lot of different places - and I've visited friends in a lot of different homes/apartments/condos/townhomes. What it boils down to is that a home is what you make it. As long as it's welcoming and comfortable - those are the important things. I've been in a few mansions for various events - and I wouldn't live there if they gave me the house - too sterile and uncomfortable. Give me a small home any day.

I love to cook and have taken lots of cooking classes - so I immediately noticed your stand mixer, the coffee pot, toaster oven, etc. Great kitchen.

That's a heck of a nice place - far better than how the Princess and I started out. Congratulations, and be proud of your accomplishments.
