Trying to figure out my ducks bill

There is a possibility of a mix, but they could also be purebreds with this one having a bill mutation. Actually one of the theories around the origin of the Hookbill breed was that it started from breeding ducks with bill mutations. Which could mean that this duck may have a bill mutation similar to that which was desired during the origins of the Hookbill breed. I would have to see some pictures of the flock they came from before I leaned either way.

"As in Britain, wild duck was a good source of meat. So it has been suggested that the hooked bill itself may have been created from a natural mutation so that the birds could easily be distinguished in flight from the wild mallard. Hunters could then avoid shooting the domestic birds on their way home at night when the mallard might be caught."
