QUESTION:

We are trying to find a home for 3 male ducks 4 months old.
We are guessing they are: 1 Indian runner, 1 Black? Swedish, 1 Blue? Swedish.

We bought them in Tractor Farm Supply in Leland, NC thinking to have duck eggs and they ended up being male (because the bill color, the curly feather and possibly the sound) (First time buying ducks) We don't really need them. They have been happy sharing the space with our hens, eating duck-chicken food and duckweed. They are in a big kennel cage and we built a small fence outside the cage so they can swim in a small tub where we add some duckweed and have a little fun outside. They are bonded and we would like to give them away all together. We can accept a small donation to help with chicken food. Please message us if you are interested to get them all.

hi and welcome!
you are right to rehome your drakes since you don’t have any female ducks, your drakes are going to start trying to mate with your hens soon which will injure and kill them. They are not anatomically equal to roosters.
They’re beautiful ducks try reposting this in the ducks forum also in the animals in need of rehoming forum.

Hiya, and welcome to BYC!! :frow You may want to try post that in your N.C. thread.

I've also had luck in my state's Facebook poultry groups. I did try Craig's List a couple times with success too. You might want to check if there's some poultry swaps in your area. We live in the boonies of WI and have two within an hour of us.

Good luck! ☺️
