Trying to hatch week old eggs

I have been collecting eggs from a serama and silkie that have started laying recently. They are delicious! Today the silkie is still sitting so may be going broody. I have a number of eggs that have been sitting on the kitchen counter. If I put some of them under her would they hatch? How many days old can eggs kept at room temp be hatchable-if they even are?

Roughly 10 days I believe. They should still be good to hatch.

5-6 is best. After 7 days hatchability starts dropping off rapidly. Also humidity is a factor with storing eggs. If the room air is to dry is lowers hatchability. Also hatching eggs should be stored pointed end down and turned at least once a day.

I'll assume that you have an active cock/erel.
Have you checked for fertility by looking at blastodisc on yolk?
Eggs kept at 50-70°F for up to about 10 days...after that viability maybe begin to decrease. Good to tip carton end to end daily.
