I’d love to hear more about that rat trap ! Anything that gets. 10 a day sounds like something to try. We’ve got so many here

Its called the Ratinator live trap. It worked amazing! The only issue is that its live, so you have to be able to do something with them after you catch them. Its a pricey trap to, but totally worth it!
This is the one, its pretty pricey, but worked great for us.

Possums foxes hawks owls and weasels eat rats.If your chickens are in enclosed runs the predators can't kill your chickens and will eat rats instead.

That’s true, we did have a weasel get some hens 2 summers ago, and a friend told me the weasel was probably just following a rat and found the chickens instead
