Trying to stop smoking!!!!! Did you quit?

Wow, didn't realize the thread would get revved up so quickly. I was just curious how Flowerpot did quitting smoking.

Fuzziebutt, I smoked for 35+ years, too. Been quit for 3(?) years now! Hang in there!

I had 1 butt when I woke up this morning, havent had a butt since!! Put it in my head last night that I wanted to do it....so here I gooooo...ready or not....Non-Smokers here I come!! I started stealing my moms butts at 14 and plus back then you could buy butts for your parents without any questions so I used my lunch $$ For those instead of lunch. I am now 36. I quit once for a couple of months useing Nicorette. Going cold turkey this time. Everyone thinks I cant and my competetive butt is gonna prove them ALL wrong...hahahaa I WILL NOT LOSE THIS BATTLE....I hate to lose and I want more time....Butts take time to smoke. By the time I get my coat shoes and gloves on and get out in the cold, I smoke then go in and undress, its been about 15minutes, multiply that by at least 7 That + over 1 more hour I can spend with my kids!! I got this all figured out in my head this time...that is how I know my hard butt can do this!!!

I am a current smoker, tried many of the quiters fixes, but still can' t kick it . ( Nicorette gave me nightmares & the mini seizures, Chantix made me suicidial)

I managed to kick both Drugs and Alcohol but the smokes just have me. everytime I try to quit, someone in the family dies and I freak. So for now, I am still smoking and cutting down.....lol 2-3 packs per day down to less than one.

I don't smoke around any of the grandchildren, I take it outside. So for today I won't beat myself or anyone else over it.
