Trying to understand needed coop size

I have six hens and one rooster and my coop is only 3ft x 6ft. On the one side it has 3 nesting boxes about 12 inches off the floor and on the other side the roosting bars. My chickens only sleeps in the coop and has the run of my yard all day. They are free to come and go as they please as my yard is safe and secure with no danger of dogs and cats desturbing them.

Awesome! Thanks! The design we have drawn up right now is 2 SF per bird, but they'll have a lot of space outside during the day.

Cute coop!! Do you clip their wings? I'm concerned about them flying over my fence (it's at least 6 ft, but I need to measure) into the neighbors yard who do have dogs.
