Germany did not just go in a round people up. They set up check points where everyone had to be searched for there safety. They also disarmed the population. An they carted away people that might fight back one by one accusing them of crimes. Then once the people had no real power to rise up, then the bad stuff started to happen.

Also remember we rounded up the Japanese in the US an put them in camps too. Do you think everyone knew how they were really being treated?

So you think the Nazi camps were the same as the Japanese camps here ? Were they mistreated here ?

You need to recheck your history. One of the first things they did was outlaw Jews owning a business. Do you think they could do that here ?

Not sure but even if it was 5 to 1 I bet those people would have been able win that fight an would have gladly tried if the policy at the time wasn't to give in to hijackers. Especially if it was commonly known that the last US hijacking was to fly the plane in to a building.

If the same thing happened today, do you think those people would take those 5 to 1 odds?

Before 9/11 it was the right policy what flight was it that the people found out what was happening and tried to take the plane back ?
You seem to recognize that things change and people will do different now then they would have before except with the constitution.

Didnt say that. I said that the people at the time had no way on knowing.

Yes, they did lots of thing, All of which they could not have done a year or two before. Could they do that exact thing here right now? No. But they could not arest US citizens an throw them in a hole with no trial 10 years ago ether. They can do a lot of things now that in the 90sI would have told you could never happen in the US.

Of course. The Constitution didn't change. If you want to change it we have a proses to do that. Letting the government throw it out an make it up as they go is not the right way.

What?

Please tell me you're not one of those that think the government did 9/11.

So if I put 10 lbs. of plastic explosive around my waist and walk through a body scanner it wont show up ? I don't know who the so called "expert" was but he sounds like a fool to me.

He was a very qualified expert, this was on one of the biggest (and most conservative) talk shows in the Los Angeles area, and he was a reliable expert. And yes, I wish I could remember what it was called, but there is a particular kind of explosive that they have great difficulty seeing with the usual detection methods.

Actually, those interred lost most of thier property and businesses as a result, so the interrment did result in economic losses and loss of businesses for the americans citizens who were forcibly relocated to these prison camps. It is important to note that we didn't round up every german american and put them in a camp either. Heres a link that talks about the economic damage the Japanese americans suffered: http://aasreadingoutline.blogspot.com/2008/12/property-los.html

Any system can be beat does that mean we don't need any system ?
