Actually, those interred lost most of thier property and businesses as a result, so the interrment did result in economic losses and loss of businesses for the americans citizens who were forcibly relocated to these prison camps. It is important to note that we didn't round up every german american and put them in a camp either. Heres a link that talks about the economic damage the Japanese americans suffered: http://aasreadingoutline.blogspot.com/2008/12/property-los.html

And yes looking back it was the wrong policy but did they know that at the time ? If you lived then can you say for sure that you would have spoken out ?

Actually my grandmother remembers that time and she recalls that her father was vigorously against it. However, the point of my post is to remind us that aside from the loss of their rights and being incarcerated for NO crime, they also lost thier business and property, so while our camps were not "extermination" camps, they were still based on fear and mistrust of people not like the majority, and it caused irreparable harm. It is that same type of phobia that created an atmosphere in which germans became open to the idea of jewish removal (in various forms).

Sorry the way it sounded was some "expert" said we cant detect all explosives so why look for any.

The expert was saying that our current methods are not looking for the real dangers. He said that it is not really a worry that terrorists will manually crash a plane as the pilots will not open the cockpit for any reason and that we need to be concentrating on using/finding methods to detect these hard to detect explosives.

I'm sure someone is as someone is always looking for a better mouse trap.
They can always surgically implant a bomb inside someone so should we give all passengers a MRI ?
