We picked up 5 SLW from TSC, but one has a single comb, 3 have light colored legs and 2 have darker legs and one has darker fluff than the others.

I'm just wondering if there's a chance these are SLW and any guesses on the single comb chick.

Yes, I think there is a good chance that you do have Silver Laced Wyandotte chicks. The overall color looks about right, and the markings around the eyes also look right to me.

Wyandottes are supposed to have rose combs, but chicks sometimes do get single combs instead, due to which comb genes are dominant and recessive.

The darker and lighter legs might be something that just happens. I'm not entirely sure there.

It is common for some chicks to have darker or lighter fluff than others of the same breed, so I wouldn't be concerned so far.

Whether they are actually SLW or similar-looking imposters will probably become much more obvious over the next month or two as they grow more feathers.

So... there's a chance they are all SLW! Yay! Lol. I know time will tell, it's the patience that's the hard part 😁

Look like Wyandottes to me as well! Is the last one brown or black? So cute! And the straight comb sometimes happens in hatchery stock, so nothing to worry about there!

They look like slw to me as for the green i have a blrw roo that carrys green legs and gives me sexlinked leg color chicks green legs for mine are always females
Oh, that's a cool way to identify them! Thanks for the vote they are SLW too 😁

The photo does look brown, I double checked and it was just the photo, here are photos from today, she's starting to get some little white spots on her wings!

I can confirm that hatchery SLW's may have single combs. I have one (which I actually wanted for a breeding project).

She was just POL in this photo. Her comb is slightly larger now that she's fully matured.
Wow, thanks! They are both beautiful. I'm super excited to have some SLW, I've been wanting some the last few years but have been trying to be semi-responsible with my flock size 😏
