Nifty,
You are truly blessed with a beautiful family! You all must have had a wonderful time on your trip with Tudy.
Please imagine how much fun you would have had if it were just you & Tudy. I am willing to bet your enthusiasm would have dwindled & you may not have made as many points of interest.
My luck I'd eye up the shot, set the timer, move into the proposed shot & someone is running off with my camera.
I just have to tell you I felt snubbed when you posted right after I did & totally ignored my post. Oh, I am sorry, you did not snub me, you delegated & a judge PM'd me. Telling me it is Nifty's rule & they would not go against Nifty. Then I read a post of yours hinting the judges may or may not "stick to the rules" in judging. I totally get the impression the rules are set in stone but each judge casts the spotlight on another. That way no one has to say MY decision is final.
That is perfectly fine. You have the right to do whatever you wish. BYC is a great site & I love it & the members too. I read the announcement & thought it sounds like fun. I would not have made my comment if someone else hadn't mentioned it first. Entries without people were posted BEFORE either post was made asking if people could be removed from the pics.
I will enjoy looking at everyone's posts. It is not HARD or uneasy to run around alone with Tudy. It just isn't FUN. I am somewhat sensitive when I get funny looks and an incredulous tone of voice, "Just one?" (at restaraunts, theaters, etc.) I won't be painting the town with only a paper chicken and ask others to take pictures of us. They'd likely run in the other direction any way.
I am not afraid of looking odd in public. I just don't want to be odd alone. I had a blast at a japenese steak house with my family in Florida. My brother was stuck late at work. We had a seat for him & the cook looked at the empty seat & asked what they wanted. It was fun having an invisable friend at the table. We spoke to "him" & answered for him. I am not sure what the strangers at the table thought. It didn't matter. It was fun.
