Tudy (2-D) BYC results posted! See Page 19!

Well said chickiekeeta. I'd be running around alone too unless I brought some of my flock with me!

Good to see you back Katie!

Thank you, JanieMarie. I was considering enlarging a photo of a family member and posing BOTH the paper chicken & paper person. That way I can safely handle my camera and not have to call attention to myself asking someone to take a pic of me & my paper chicken.

So I'm leaving McD's with my large iced tea and Tudy and I see this ambulance parked next to the building. I know there's no emergency because they didn't come in with sirens whooping . . . they just wanted a late dinner.

"Cheryl, " I say to my friend, "I'm going to walk over and see if that EMT will pose with Tudy for me."

Cheryl (looking incredulous): If he does, you have to enter the contest!

Me (to EMT): Is it okay if I approach you? Because I know the police don't like it when you do that.

EMT: Sure, we're friendly.

Me: Would you mind if I took a picture of you and the ambulance with my Tudy? (Hold up paper chicken) We're supposed to take pictures with Tudy and post them on our chicken forum, like Flat Stanley, only with a chicken.

EMT: Well, if you want a really good shot, you could come by the fire barn during the day. The ambulance is really reflective, and a picture at night isn't going to turn out very well.

Me: Well, that's a good idea. Thanks; I'll do that!

[this is where a thought bubble over the EMT's head might say something like, "Hmm, wonder who didn't get her meds today . . ."]

I'll bet they don't hear stuff like that very often.

ChickieKeeta, thanks for the post. We're happy to see pictures of Tudy by herself, but we want to see Tudy with her friends and family on the forum.

This is our first trial at this contest and we may decide to make changes to the rules now or later. I originally wanted to see pics of our wonderful members with Tudy, but I'm fine with doing whatever the judges want to do.

DH is flying from MD to CA next Wed to help our son drive a truck of household furniture home to MD. I asked him to take Tudy with him and take pics along the way. He laughed but didn't say no. Does anyone know if Tudy gets airsick? And how well does she travel? He doesn't like to stop for pee breaks so she would have to hold it until he needs gas. LOL. I bet she will whine less than I do. LOL.

Sorry but I was taught that posting pictures of yourself on the internet is EVIL. Disqualify me if you want.... but I'll stay looking like an Easter Egger.

Oh, and are you allowed to post more pictures after you have already added some?

I can't stop laughing at Kryptonites comment about carrying around a paper chicken. This contest is very funny, but hey....isn't that what the world needs, more laughter and fun?

I am thinking of printing my own paper chicken and taking her around my garden and perhaps for a ride on the 4 wheeler this evening
