i kept looking around and thinking, "That is not a BBS Orp (duh) and not a Deleware...what did I do????"

Okay, will do. How different does the chick look? They really look just like a black orp chick, just with a few feathers on the legs.

Miss Jayne, I did not send you any brahma/orp mixes those are in a separate pen. Hippichick had asked me to send her acouple since I have one of my orp roosters in with my brahma hens and I only had one eggie to send off to her! lol

Neat hippichick that the one egg hatched out!!!

Congrats on your new babies.

I got one from the "Lav" pen - says so right on the egg. We''ll have to wait to see if it hatches.

Fun to get a little treat!

I could look at orpingtons all day. Oh yeah...sometimes I do! And many of them are from Tuffoldhen, my fellow Mountaineer! Gorgeous birds! And Tuff knows what is inside those eggs, I am sure. She knows I don't like the splashes so I never get more than 1 per hatch! :big smile

thanks all! we do love them. so beautiful and gentle.

i guess the mystery egg will just remain a mystery. maybe i should name the chick with a mystery theme or riddle or the like!

What color is mystery? Does she have clean or feathered leggs? What else did you have in the bator? And last question, where are Mystery's pics?
