This is my 3 week old Sebastopol gosling, Sebastian. I purchased eggs off of EBay and hatched them myself. I don't think the seller has Tufted Romans.

Ever since he hatched, he's had a little tuft of feathers/down on the top of his head. I actually thought he wasn't going to survive at first because it felt as if he was missing skull bone underneath the tuft area (similar to a baby's fontanel). The area still feels a bit open, but not as much.

Is this tuft normal? Is it a tuft?

I keep Tufted Romans and Sebbies - it sure looks like a Tuft to me...so, so cute! Keep us posted!

Would you feel comfortable disclosing the persons name or ebay id? Ive also purchased Sebbie eggs from ebay and if I do it again, I want to avoid that seller, just in case she/he was dishonest and sold you something other than a true Sebbie. I sure hope thats not the case. Have you contacted the seller to see what they say about it?
