This is my 3 week old Sebastopol gosling, Sebastian. I purchased eggs off of EBay and hatched them myself. I don't think the seller has Tufted Romans.
Ever since he hatched, he's had a little tuft of feathers/down on the top of his head. I actually thought he wasn't going to survive at first because it felt as if he was missing skull bone underneath the tuft area (similar to a baby's fontanel). The area still feels a bit open, but not as much.
Is this tuft normal? Is it a tuft?
