Lisa, it shouldn't affect the color of the crosses as far as I know. Other than sometimes barring does not show very well on brown, if you get not-brown-red chicks. sometimes it seems to slightly lighten the brown or can just see one vague bar or two per feather on some parts of body. You'll see a variety from barely hint of bars to showing the bars pretty well on the Bb birds. I've had some birds that showed barring only on the tail, especially if the birds were light brown with black tails. I would not be surprised if a Bb Momo bird would show a couple white tips.
