Why australorpe?It's a mix, maybe mixed with a blue Australorp.
Ah okay. I was being curious. Like I said never had this breed before. Always thought they looked too funkyBecause many are cross-breeding the NN's with other breed's to either produce bigger meat bird's, or one's that will produce more egg's. I currently have a Splash colored Australorp hen in with my NN/Breese mixed rooster. The NN's do better out here in our hot desert summer's, and the Australorp is a good egg layer. I like the single straight comb's and the darker leg's on mine.
