Turkens

I never really was into Turkens, but I saw a picture and fell in love.
Are they friendly? And how many eggs to they lay?

Turkens have always been one of my favorites, they are very friendly birds, I have had many many of them and have only had 1 rooster that had an attitude out of countless #'s of them and my hens have always been great layers. I have 12 young hens right now and they are laying everyday. They are even great cold weather layers and are good setters and mothers. As for how many eggs they lay I would put them right up there with the barred rocks or similar breeds. Just a great all around bird in my opinion.
