I know this is long ago, but I just wanted to say LOVE Barn Owls too!! I have a pet one named Hoot!!!

That's so awesome! I got to pet a wild screech owl this summer I don't know why but it was midnight I went outside heard funny noises of course like a crazy person go running around in the bushes with my dogs following noises of some sort of bird and one flew on a very short tree and it had a centipede in its mouth and I walked up to it and pet the back of its head and then it took a good look at me then flew off I saw about seven of them and got really close to all of them but only petted one it was so thrilling!!!!!!
