Turkey Bacon...Its JUST Not Right!

Stop being a wuss boyd. The thing with tofu is it's generally flavorless, so it's an INGREDIENT not a food. It's not something to eat with a fork, it's something to eat in a dish with other things for flavor. That said, tofu makes the best smoothies, adds protien without empty calories.

So, if i try it. I should cook it with/in something else... like a stir fry?

Protien in the morning is a great weight management tool (you feel fuller longer, and it's better than carb loading at dawn. Esp. if you're of the no-dairy camp.

No like Bacon grease and fry it. Just like the Turkey bacon.

1/2 cup soft/silken tofu (don't get firm, you want the stuff that's yogurt soft)
1/2 cup fruit (I use frozen berries, or even a frozen banana)
1/2 cup Juice (I like pineapple)

Toss in a blender and puree in pulses to make a smoothie, drink for breakfast. High in protien, only natrual fruit sugars, and you'll taste the fruit not the tofu.

Hahaha I was gonna say its just like rubber chicken.
 
For stir fries you need the firm tofu, then you need to press it, cube it, maranaide it, then a flash fry for 2 minutes in screaming hot oil. Carefully fish out the tofu, and stir fry your vegging next, then serve with the tofu sprinkled on top. (like a sponge, tofu soaks up the maranade liquid).
