Turkey behavior

Quote:
When I bought our two about 2 months ago, we were told they were about a year old. Not sure about how much they weigh, but the hen showed absolutely no interest whatsoever in the tom. He was struttin out his little heart, getting so worked up from time to time we caught him "air humping". It was the funniest thing I have ever seen.

Apparently, she was lonely with no other hen around, so when we let them run with the chickens. Within an hour, she had started the plop down. The day we got her, she wouldn't even eat till I put a deleware hen in with her, then she went to town. I heard that turkeys are uncomfortable in small groups.

Thanks! I had 2 hens originally and lost one. I guess I need to find another.

nope, if they were 10 pounds in september, theyre gonna breed. My toms are strutting like mad, but only one hen is receptive yet.. give them some time. Its killing me waiting, but itll happen.
