Would love any input as to the bandaging or not of the main leg joint broken on a 1-2 week old turkey chick. He turns and his leg doesn't😕.poor thing acts normal, not hiding in a corner etc.. is it a terminal diagnosis or will he be handicapped? Can they live happily? Do I tie a popsicle stick too it?

I would also post on the turkey forum under forums above. I have no experience with turkeys. It could be a slipped tendon, since the joint is swollen and red. You may want to place the poult in a chicken sling to rest the leg and see if it heals, and put food and water in front of it.

Great, didn't see the turkey forum thx. And what is a sling for a turkey look like?

A bucket with a piece of strong fabric, so that the feet can just sit flat on the bottom of the bucket when set through two holes in the fabric. Cups with food and water tied to the side of the bucket, so your bird can reach comfortably by stretching its neck.

I can try that. How long would this be done for?
