Turkey Coop Build

Pics
I love antiques and old tools etc. They just don't make things the way they used to.
H.R, How old is your turkey? Got a picture? What breed is it?
Ah I've been so busy building a new coop lately! I do have a picture, but it's a close up because he's just gotten some growth on his face, and I posted about it in another thread. I think he's about 5 weeks now.

Could have sworn I uploaded a picture. Oh and I am a huge antique tool lover, on my first date with my husband, he oiled my old hand drill lol. We sharpen knives here with an old wet wheel for side money at the farm too. Let be try this picture again.

Looks like fowl pox. It's spread by mosquitoes. I see it occasionally towards the end of summer.

Started where a scar was from where a cat got him though? Well it go away you on its own?
If it's truly from a cat scratch than it's probably an abscess, which should be drained and flushed. Fowl pox should be left alone. So it's important you know for sure what it is before messing with it. Generally with fowl pox they will have multiple lesions that continue to show up for a week or two.

Never seen a dry pox that large.
Is that dark spot a scab?
Maybe soak it so it comes off, that might open it to drain, then treat as any wound.
Yes, it's a scab I believe. It's the only "pox" he's developed, and no other symptoms, I'm going to soak a little iodine in it, do a little triple antibiotic. It can't hurt, and ill boost up his diet with some mashed yolk. It's all good stuff anyway, so if it helps, that's a plus, I know it can't harm.
