Any body have a good referance for candling turkey eggs, I only fould 1 pic at 4 days im the google search. What day is best to candle to see if there developing or just weight it out and see what happens on day 28? Thansk

Because of the thicker shell candling turkey eggs is more difficult than chicken eggs, particularly early. Two suggestions. First candle with a good strong light source. Second don't even bother prior to a week or better yet 10 days. By 10 days you can usually see blood vessels and the embryo moving.

I candle on day 14, I look for blood veins, you can see them very plain, if the egg good to go!! tom!

We waited until ten days to candle ours and as near as we could tell all thirty five were developing. No apparent clears or blood rings. They are harder to candle than white chicken eggs, but easier than green eggs.
