This turkey egg is beginning to hatch, but it looks as if the eggs membrane is too tight around the chick, is there anything I could do? The chick sounds strong and is creeping loudly, but doesn't seem to be able to move.

Did it put the large hole in the air cell or did you? Did it externally pip on its own? If so, how long ago?

Make sure you moisten the exposed membrane. Use coconut oil if you have it. If not, neosporin or bacitracin will work.

Moisten the membrane with coconut or any oil. Make sure the polt can breath. After that, Check out one of the Guides to assisted hatching--search feature in the forums.

It should hatch fine if it is alive.

UPDATE: the turkey was shrinkwrapped and I had to assist the hatch, he is bleeding a bit but here he(or she) is

make sure the navel is closed. A bit of anti biotic ointment is good there too. Nice job!
Thank you, and what a nice end to the evening this was! Do you think he will make it through the night?

If the polt makes 3 days, he is good. That is a critical tmi for the organs to get functioning. Rooster booster would be good too. Other vitamins as available-- check your local feed store

Chick starter or flock raiser type of chicken feed. You can give him some scrambled eggs but the starter, grower or flock raiser crumbles is best for them. It has complete nutrition
Thanks
