Is it hard to tell if the turkey inside the eggs are forming? I candled 5 of my turkey eggs and couldn't even tell if they where forming. I'm using a bright flashlight but thinking its not bright enough

It takes a lot longer to be able to see the baby turkeys growing. It is pretty useless to candle before the 10th day. It takes a week longer for them to hatch so it takes about that much longer to really see them clearly. Give them a few more days. I have a small maglight. I think it cost about 5 or 6 at Walmart and it takes 2 AA batteries. The beam is adjustable so you can concentrate it to see better. I usually put new batteries in every couple batches of eggs. Good luck Jenn

If there isnt a dark area and they are all clear like an egg before incubating then they are not developing. My turkeys were hit and miss this year but it was their first year for laying too. Next summer should be better. Jenn
