Turkey Gobbles - Hilarious!

Is it just me being crazy when I say I find the sound a turkey tom makes really funny? I've had the turkeys since May and still, each time they gobble it makes me giggle. It is just such a silly sound! As impressive and puffy as they make themselves when they strut, just the sound they make, I can't take them seriously. Doesn't help that they are a yard mafia, always up in your business demanding treats for their protection racket

Yeah it always makes me laugh, too. My tom would gobble whenever he heard a strange sound. So for instance, if I would sneeze - gobble! Drop a shovel - gobble! You get the idea.

I think the sound that cracks me up most is the hens poping like the cork coming out of a wine bottle. recently our big tom has started to strut and sound a thump, like a low drum sound. and I've decided our BBW hen is definitely using the same trill all the time to beg treats. but yes, the gobble in response to strange sounds thing is quite entertaining.

I crack up at the sonar sound the females make sometimes. Like they're trying to depth-charge some submarines.
