Turkey Harness

I wanted the harness so that I could take the turkey outside of the yard, without the risk that something might spook her and cause her to fly off into the distance.

Turkeys have tapered necks and rounded bodies, whereas dogs are more cylindrical. I don't know, I could not get a dog harness to fit comfortably on a turkey.
I often took my turkeys on foraging walks with nothing more than a stick. They had a ball going after the grasshoppers.

Might depend on the turkey. The harnesses always fit my hens fine, it would just bunch up a bit. I've never tried to harness my tom because he won't deflate if he can see me.

I never had luck leading. I just let them walk and I followed when I did try harnesses.

A tin can with a few grains in it works miracles for keeping your flock with you as yall go wandering about secure areas. Do carry a big stick any time you're out... or a pellet gun to ward off would be attackers on sight.

Dog harness worked just fine for our turkey :). We bought it at Walmart.
I think this one is a medium (it fit on my cocker spaniel so just look for one that is appropriate for cockers).
