Turkey has eaten mushrooms he’s hot and panting but is drinking water . The mushroom is buff on top.

My Turkey has eaten mushrooms I’m sure , there buff on top and black Under the cap and light stem from the cow pasture , what can I do

Hi, I can sometimes ID various types of mushrooms as I hunt gourmet winter mushrooms in my area. My guess without seeing any picture is a type of field mushroom or perhaps an ink cap, this time of year. I would need a ton more info to take any definitive guess, though.

The good news, is that your turkey will probably be just fine. Toxins in fungus most often don't effect animals the way they do us humans.

I remember a post where a mushroom antidote was listed. It was a combination of two things, one of which was definitely activated charcoal. I think the other item was milk of magnesia. Does that sound right to anyone else?
