Turkey hen is pacing fence and won't stop calling!

I guess that is what she is doing while pacing the fince! I have had her for 2 weeks now. She has a nice big yard to peck around in. But does not seem to be happy. When I bought her she was with her 2 sisters in a snall pen with a top on it. I thought she would enjoy the open area. I also bought a tom with her and I have 19 chickens. I know it takes a while to get comfortable, but she won't stop pacing the fence and making noise. Any ideas?

It's mating season; she's calling for a Tom. She may stop in a few weeks, or maybe not.

My turkey was doing about the same thing come to find out she wanted a better place to nest. Now she has her own personal box and she quit pacing: now she lays her egg everyday and goes about her business.

yes, they are both young

Its a large milk crate on the ground low enough for her to reach, she's pretty big; with hay, no top in the corner for a little privacy away from the chickens. Nothing major its just the chickens nests are off the ground and smaller she wanted more room to move around and get comfortable.

She can't go back to the place she came from! But she doesn't seem to understand that.

After, I received info back about her needing to nest I went out and put a dog house ithat we haven't been using in her pen. I put fresh straw in it and suprise within 20 min. she had layed an egg in that dog house. I hope it works! Thanks for the advice.
