Turkey Hen poopin in duck pool

I have a royal palm hen that is setting. She comes off to eat everyday. I fill up a small pool with fresh water for my mucovies to drink. Every time I start spraying the water in she will step over right in the middle of the pool, poop and get out! I can't understand why she does that?

Think the water is simply a trigger (sort of like dipping a sleeper's hand into a glass of warm water...) this, along with the relief of dunking the hot broody feet in the pool (ours will stand in hog bowls full of water and scratch as if foraging) would probably indicate using a smaller container for the turk, as it is easier to refill.
