Turkey mating with chicken

A few days ago I noticed a cpl of my chickens missing feathers on their backs. Couldnt figure it out till I caught my tom doing a funny lil dance then noticed he was on top of one of my chickens.

Any way to stop this till I get another pen built? Thought about modifying a prank shocker pen to strap to the chickens so the turkey would get zapped when it jumped on. But my gf wouldnt let me.

Wasnt planning on keeping my turkeys this long but the freezer filled up. Now that I got a taste of the eggs I think ill keep some around every year.

If the Turkey is mating with your chickens he is too big and could hurt them. Personally I would get him away from them as soon as possible.

I take it you do not have any Turkey Hens for him.

We got like 6 inches of snow. Got no way to make a pen and seperate them yet. I got 4 hens and 2 toms. All the hens lay down for them when im out there so I know theyre willing. Dont know why the one tom chooses the chickens.

Well good luck! I guess it would be hard to build a pen in the snow.
