One of my baby turkeys that i have was mauled by a dog this last thursday. His left wing was skinned pretty bad. Everything seems to look normal and in place, none of the muscles or tendons look torn. It looks like the dog had grabbed his feathers just right and pulled all the skin off. I ran to the store and got MicrocynAH spray when it happend. Ive been spraying the wound once or twice a day and keeping it wrapped up, changing bandages everyday. He now has a really bad infection. I read on another thread that i can give him penicillin. He is 1.7lbs or .7 kg so i gave him .25 ml of injectable penicillin about an hour ago. I need to know how often to give it to him and for how long. Please help me!
