How do I get the Turkeys to go into the coop at night?
How will they act around the chickens?
I will most likely raise them from chick to adult with other chicks to adults so will they be okay being raised together?
Where do they lay eggs and how often do they lay?
What is a good docile breed?
Do the Toms gobble ALOT? Or just every once in a while(morning,noon,night, etc..)?
I'm assuming hens aren't noisy?
Will they rome with the chickens or in their own little flock?
How many hens to Toms should I have?
Will the Toms fight over the hens?
Is it possible to keep just hens and not Toms?
I have wild turkeys in the back yard at the corn pile every morning, will having domestic turkeys affect the wild turkeys?

SORRY for the question overload, Im just wondering if keeping turkeys would be right for me.

I'll try to answer some of your Qs, but I'm not an expert by any means! I love my turkeys and everyone I talk to with turkeys loves their's.

How do I get the Turkeys to go into the coop at night?
-same as with chickens - just get them used to roosting in the coop before you let them loose


How will they act around the chickens?
-should be fine, but if they grow up with chickens and don't have another turkey around, your tom may try to mate with your chickens (not so good for the chickens)

I will most likely raise them from chick to adult with other chicks to adults so will they be okay being raised together?
-some people worry about the turkeys getting blackhead from being raised with chickens, but I've never had a problems and a lot of people do keep their chickens and turkeys together

Where do they lay eggs and how often do they lay?
-generally they lay in the spring and possibly the fall, depends on the bird

What is a good docile breed?
- I don't know, probably varies more by individual than by breed

Do the Toms gobble ALOT? Or just every once in a while(morning,noon,night, etc..)?
- yes

I'm assuming hens aren't noisy?
- obviously they don't gobble, but they can be noisy, particularly if separated from their flock

Will they rome with the chickens or in their own little flock?
- ?

- yes

- I've heard of people having their domestic birds run off with wild turkeys - also, the wild birds could expose your birds to disease

My only warning with turkeys is that raising them will make them very difficult to eat - they're just so cute and personable. They're a lot of fun, though, and the eggs are wonderful if you get a hen.

I don't think they're as loud as roosters - at least it's not as annoying. Our neighbor who lives pretty far from us could hear our turkey. Of course, he thought it was a wild turkey in the woods - hehe. They definitely gobble, though, at anything they think unusual - the UPS truck, loose dogs, etc.
